Speaking of holdouts against the bishops....I received the following message fromt the Father King Society. Please mail in a 'mandate' if you so choose. Dear Friends and 1000+ Members of the Father King Society: I am writing you on behalf of William Peter Blatty and the Father King Society with three requests.   After months of study and consultation with canonists and others we are readying to submit a petition under canon law.  Bill’s recent Hoya article is here:  http://www.thehoya.com/opinion/exorcist-author-gu-abusing-identity-1.2937858 First, please mail in your signed Mandate if you have not already.    You need to mail it today so that we get it this week.  We are asking this even though you signed up online.  This is an excess of procedural caution.  Please print it out, provide the information requested, and sign it.  Then mail it to us at the address below, or you can scan it once signed and email it back to me.  If you choose to scan it and use email, please use a bold thick pen or marker.    Second, if you have sent a donation, thank you. You will get a letter acknowledging your tax-deductible contribution.    Third, feel free to email this letter and the attached Mandate to all your friends and invite them to join you.  Here is a source of information for them: www.fatherkingsociety.org  .
